If you thought Deep Space Nine was all Bajorans, Cardassians, and Federation, leaving the Romulans and Klingons to another long dry spell, guess again. Both affiliations are getting some valuable skills with their handful of select personnel, and Selveth is no exception.

The Romulans have always had a notable deficit of good ENGINEERs, particularly as a classification, which is much more difficult to remove than a skill. If you've ever been stuck behind a Radioactive Garbage Scow or Birth of "Junior" for lack of sufficient ENGINEERS, you'll be glad to have another skilled one around. They also have been low on females, making Female's Love Interest/Matriarchal Society a considerable nuisance. Selveth remedies both problems nicely, with three very useful skills and INTEGRITY of a comfortable 6 adding to her value.

Selveth's skills mix is quite versatile; Stellar Cartography and Navigation are most useful in a space deck, while Geology helps out on planets. Navigation x2 will be crucial in--or against--any Badlands deck, as well as giving protection against a variety of other navigational hazards. Her Stellar Cartography is a much better backup for Dr. Telek R'Mor than the single-skilled Tarus or the useful (but not green) Dr. Reyga. Previously, her Geology would have been a throwaway skill, but with the new Odo's Cousin dilemma, it's looking a lot better, and you'll be even happier she has it if you run into a Seismic Quake.

    Combo:

Selveth + Changeling Research + Wormhole Navigation Schematic: She'll speed you through the Bajoran Wormhole and provide an obscure skill for a higher-than-average-point mission.
