Diehard capturing fans have been waiting for this card ever since Rescue Captives foretold its existence. Where Interrogation gains points for the captor each turn until the captive's owner decides to redeem him, Torture causes the captive's owner to lose 7 points, at the same time that the captured personnel dies at the end of the three-turn countdown. For each of the countdown turns that Madred is with the captive to Torture him, he adds 1 to the point loss, for a maximum 10-point loss.

    Combos:

    • Torture + Gul Madred + Madred: Suspend play during your opponent's turn to special download Torture to Gul Madred's captive at your outpost, then swap him for Madred at the start of your turn. The countdown won't start until the end of your turn, so you'll get Madred's full bonus when the prisoner expires.
    • Torture + Dixon Hill’s Business Card: Forego Madred's Torture bonus and let the captive die alone - then "put da bag on" a replacement with the Business Card.
