The Founder posing as Julian Bashir used his position as chief medical officer to gain valuable information for the Dominion, while secretly undermining the efforts of his enemies.

    Interrupt Interrupt

Plays on your infiltrator. Until end of turn, subtract (rather than add) infiltrator's classification, skills and attributes from infiltrated crew's or Away Team's totals.

The infiltrator cards are generally good, strong "doubles" with plenty of useful skills - skills your opponent will probably need to pass dilemmas and solve missions. So infiltrating his crew just gives him additional skills to use (unless you choose to have the impersonator stay out of the mission attempt), right? Not with Counterintelligence at work. After he declares the mission attempt, and you kindly choose to allow your infiltrator to go along, play this interrupt and watch his resources sudenly dwindle.

With Geordi La Forge (Prem) and Miles O’Brien (BoG), he thought he had plenty of ENGINEERs to combat a Duonetic Field Generator or solve Repair Mission. But O’Brien Founder's 2 ENGINEER just got subtracted from the others' four. Guess he'l have to wait another turn. Or maybe he had Major Rakal aboard his D’deridex Advanced to keep the ship running at peak efficiency. When the infiltrating Lovok Founder takes up Counterintelligence, his Tal Shiar skill gets subtracted from hers, and the ship slows down and loses much ofits combat readiness. Even his Treachery gets subtracted from the crew's or Away Team's total, making it more difficult to solve those multi-Treachery missions.

Get creative with your dilemma combos and match their requirements to the skills that your infiltrator will subtract. Your opponent will wonder why you're being so helpful, until Counterintelligence strikes.

    Combo:

    • Counterintelligence + E-Band Emissions + Brainwash: If your opponent had a personnel in his deck, he probably needed the skills to solve missions. Turn a Brainwashed captive against him and subtract the skills he needs from his backup personnel.
