Introduction:
In 1998 the third expansion set for our beloved game entered the market. It contained a card named "Alas, Poor Queen". That card refered to something called "Bluegill Queen". Many people asked what that Bluegill Queen was or would be someday.
Expansion after expansion came out and the mysterious Bluegill Queen was forgotten.

Gem

Introduction:
This review deals with Gem, a card which I have never seen in a game, but that might be unfair due to some interesting strategies.
The card itself:
Due to her CIVILIAN classification, Gem reports for free using War Council in the Alpha Quadrant. Integrity 9 is very good and there are not many other personnel with Empathy x2. She also has a Classic Icon which means she can take advantage of Christopher Pike's skill.

Admiral McCoy

As great as it is to have McCoy in the game, this version only really has one use and thats the mission "Reunion" to score the extra points. Now the version you need is from the Trouble with Tribbles set (TT),as this version is dynamite when attempting missions. Its has to be said that this is just really a "fun" card, nothing else.

I have reviewed many cards since I started playing this game, and I have to say this card has got be the most powerful card released for the 1st editition, never mind what the dilemmas are, you just strole up and don't need to meet the mission requirements and take the points. With regards to the 1st edition of the game, this card can be viewed as the one of the three most powerful fed ships, this fact can be gleamed from the simple fact that it has a cloak, used with the engage cloak objective, it gives the feds a powerful edge.See the rest of this ST1E card review...
