Making sure you have enough MEDICAL in your decks has become more and more a necessity in deck building. There are many dilemmas that target this skill not just as a passing requirement, but also to kill, filter or relocate it away from your Away Teams, leaving you open to the effects of even nastier dilemmas.

The Federation, of all the affiliations, has the best selection of MEDICAL personnel to choose from. Elizabeth Lense is a good addition to that list of personnel as her entire skill set incorporates many aspects of personnel generally chosen for Federation Space decks. Biology is a very valuable skill to have in multiple while mission solving in space due to Aphasia Device, and on planets as well because of Flaxian Assassin. It is a good idea to have at least 3 MEDICAL with Biology in any serious attempt for a space mission, and Elizabeth here is no slouch in helping out. She also has SCIENCE and Physics, filling a hole that generally only ENGINEER and SCIENCE-classification personnel with few other skills could fill. So, she is not only excellent for the nastier MEDICAL-related dilemmas, but her SCIENCE and Physics make her a perfect addition to Federation space-based decks as well.
