Bajoran Phaser Banks

When tactics were first introduced with the battle-oriented expansion set Blaze of Glory, all of the affiliations were given their own special tactic card. There was one exception to this: the Bajorans. This tactic gives them the added defensive capabilities most other affiliations take for granted. At first glance it looks a little unfair compared to the others, seeing that you need Navigation or Resistance to get any of the bonuses from it. However, not only are there many Bajorans with one of these skills or the other (hint: Rinnak Pire has Navigation and is a universal matching commander), but if you have someone on board with both skills, they get an additional 2 extra Attack and Defense!

Bajorans no longer have to rely on the help of the non-aligned to protect themselves from other affiliations flying by and trying to shoot them down. Nor do they necessarily have to land on planets and hide. With the right personnel on board, this little tactic card can really pack a punch offensively or defensively. Whether you're cargo running with the Bajoran Freighter, fighting the evil Spoonheads with some Bajoran Interceptors, or simply attempting a mission from a Bajoran Assault Vessel, don't forget to fill your Battle Bridge side deck with this tactic!

Combos:

• Bajoran Interceptor + Razka Karn + Nutational Shields + Bajoran Phaser Banks: Attempt a space mission without fear of being immediately destroyed by a Borg Ship dilemma (with a Defense value of 12).
• Bajoran Interceptor + Rinnak Pire + Kira Nerys + Captain's Log + Bajoran Phaser Banks: An Attack of 14 and already clear of Obelisk of Masaka. For even more fun, add a Bynars Weapon Enhancement for 16!
