SCIENCE has never really been a Ferengi strong point. Only eight personnel had it (one from the Mirror Universe), and only three possessed the SCIENCE classification. Out of those three, two are mission specialists, so Kol is a welcome addition to the ranks of Ferengi scientists.

Kol may not look like much to the Feds or Klingons, but for the Ferengi, he's the cream of the crop. Three solid skills of Navigation, Computer Skill, and Stellar Cartography are great for dilemmas like Navigational Hazardsimage and No Loose Endsimage, while Greed and Treachery can slip past a nasty Chula: the Game. Need to solve missions? Team him up with his former crewmates Gossimage and Dr. Arridorimage - solve Wormhole Negotiationsimage (Goss provides the Ferengi icon), work your way through Market Researchimage, bribe your way past the classic Romulan Treachery missions, or even go through the Barzan Wormholeimage to play in the Delta Quadrant.

    Combos:

    • Kol + Mordocimage + Catalog Phenomenaimage: A nice universal 30-point mission, solved by two personnel, and grouped together as part of a region. What more could a Ferengi ask for?
    • Kol + Dr. Arridorimage + Gossimage + 6th Rule of Acquisitionimage: Dr. Arridor and Kol reference each other and Goss, so if you don't need one of the three any more, you can sell him off for other resources.
