Hints & strategie notes for this Deck

Nathan Wineiger - Day 3 Worlds (11th seed)
1-2 vs. Kyle Matusevic, eliminated in Round 1

Nathan went 5-3 in Day 2, beating 1998 World Champion Dave Bowling in the final round, but two modified wins only put his victory point total at 16. Having better tiebreaks made the difference in placing Nathan as the 16th seed.

After being conspicuously absent in the Day 2 field, the ubiquitous Gal Gath'thong made an appearance in the form of Nathan Wineiger's Day 3 deck. Nathan's deck tried to cripple the opponent long enough for his Remans to score a victory. It is interesting to note that a key component of most Thong archetypes, Plasma Energy Weapon, is noticeably absent from Nathan's deck; he said it was unnecessary, since most Day 3 players liked to keep their hands full for dilemmas like Excalbian Drama, Gorgan, and Counterinsurgency Program.

After timing out in Game 2 to beat Kyle's Klingons, Nathan's deck failed to give him the right combination of cards to stop Kyle in his Game 3 win. His trim and slim version of the archetype won him several other games over the 4 days of Gen Con, including the just-for-fun prototype format, Standard Orbit.
