Dr. Neria

As a leading thanatologist, Dr. Neria is one of the Vhnori's foremost experts on death and the afterlife. In the Star Trek CCG, however, he is more likely to contribute to the extension of your crews' and Away Teams' lifespans in their current "emanation."

Dr. Neria is one of several Delta Quadrant natives featuring the ever-helpful MEDICAL/Biology classification/skill cluster. It's his supporting skills that make him stand out from the crowd. It's rare, especially outside of the Federation, to find MEDICAL personnel with either Physics or Anthropology, and both together on a MEDICAL/Biology personnel is virtually unheard of. Fortunately, Dr. Neria's loyalties do not lie with any one affiliation, so his expertise is available to all decks with a Delta Quadrant presence.

Although Dr. Neria's classification and skills are required for a number of Delta Quadrant missions (indeed, three of them are required for Heal Life-Form), Dr. Neria is not primarily a mission-solving star. Rather, he's a solid dilemma-buster. Not one of his skills is "fluff," or required only for obscure missions or special card mechanics. Every one of his skills is likely to be needed during the course of a game (or at least of a tournament) to cure or pass dilemmas, giving others a clear shot at the mission.
