    Rudy Ransom offers us quite an appealing combination of OFFICER and SCIENCE-related skills. Kathryn might not agree, but he's prime mission solving beef in my book.

    As a nice back up to the SCIENCE complement in your deck, his scientific know-how will help you cope with the occasional Macrovirusimage, and with an ENGINEER sidekick he'll seal that Subspace Fractureimage for five points! Leadership and Diplomacy are also two skills you won't want to fall short of in the Delta Quadrant with various missions requiring multiple servings of each and Tak Tak Negotiationimage requiring as much as Diplomay x3. To boot, you get some sneaky Treachery at the back of his skillbox, always too good to pass up on a Affiliation Federation personnel.

    Rudy's Affiliation Non-Aligned suit makes him all about sharing, and unlike other Affiliation Federation OFFICERs he's not too bothered with which jacket he puts on in the morning. Transporter Skill for the Kazon? Here you go! Comes in really handy when you want to Restock Suppliesimage at Planet Hell or want to solve Restore Victimsimage. You really want to Ambush that Ship with a laden U.S.S Equinox? Just switch coats and you've bypassed those Affiliation Federation unfriendly requirements. Speaking of which, the U.S.S. Equinox is Rudy's very own ship, which means he not only boosts it up to that impressive 11 Range but he also provides the ship with Captain's Logimage benefits when he's in the driver seat.
